Where to stay …

Our venue, Villa Regina Teodolinda, is located in the village of Laglio

There are a few towns and villages between Como town and our venue which would make a great base, including Laglio itself.

Overall, we would recommend staying in Cernobbio, as there is plenty of accommodation and restaurants within the town, as well as a ferry port for access to other parts of the lake.

We will be arranging a transfer from Cernobbio to Laglio on the day – please see our shuttle page for details.

Please note that because some hotels operate seasonally, availability for August 2025 may not be released until the beginning of the 2025 season.

Laglio

Laglio is a small village on the western shore of the south-western branch of Lake Como.

There is limited hotel accommodation in Laglio, however there are plenty of Airbnb’s and rental properties to choose from. There are a few restaurants too, if you are planning to stay either side of the wedding.

The two main hotels in Laglio are:

  • Relais Villa Vittoria, which is located next door to Villa Regina Teodolinda

  • La Locanda del Cantiere, which is a 4-minute walk from Villa Regina Teodolinda

Both can be booked either directly on the hotel website, or on sites such as booking.com

 

Cernobbio

Cernobbio is a small city a 10-minute drive north of Como, and a further 10-minute drive north to Villa Regina Teodolinda.

Cernobbio has a ferry port operated by Navigazione Laghi which connects it with most of the towns and villages on the shores of the lake.

Cernobbio has a wide range of accommodation, including chains, famous hotels and Airbnb properties, most of which have lake views. Recommended hotels:

Como

Como is situated at the southern tip of the south-west arm of Lake Como and is one of the main cities on Lake Como.

Como has 2 main train stations, Como San Giovanni and Como (Nord) Lago, connecting it to other main cities in the Lombardy region, including Milan, and Chiasso across the border in Switzerland.

Como also has a ferry port operated by Navigazione Laghi which connects Como with most of the towns and villages on the shores of the lake.

There are also plenty of hotels in Como, at all different price points. Airbnb and rental properties are also available.

The main well-known hotels are:

There are other towns between Como and Villa Regina Teodolinda which you may wish to consider if you choose to arrange your own transport to the venue. For example:
